University Transition Opportunities Program

UTOP facilitates underrepresented student’s transition from high school to college by involving incoming UNC Charlotte freshmen in a rigorous six-week summer collegiate experience. This builds upon the scholastic abilities of the students through college courses and contact with University academic support services.

Through a mentoring relationship with an upper-class student, UTOP participants will:

  • Ease their transitional experience from high school to college.
  • Make connections academically, socially and co-curricular.
  • Receive direct support from another student at the university.

Undergraduate Education Excellence Fund

The University Center for Academic Excellence offers a wide range of academic support services, including tutoring, coaching, and workshops, aimed at fostering student success and promoting academic excellence. They believe in providing equitable access to education and creating supportive environments where all students can thrive.

Office of Undergraduate Research

The Office of Undergraduate Research at UNC Charlotte facilitates and enhances undergraduate research experiences by providing funding, opportunities to present research, and resources to connect students with faculty mentors. They aim to make research accessible and impactful for all undergraduate students.

The power of our collective "change" can have the power to change Niner Nation and the world, one student at a time. Thanks for being a positive changemaker and for investing in our students and staff!
