In the last decade, Honors College enrollment has increased 100% and we are so proud to recruit, nurture and retain world-class, diverse undergraduates for UNC Charlotte. However, approximately half of the 200+ Honors College students who joined us this year have unmet financial need. Often, these students cannot take full advantage of Honors College co-curricular experiences.
Support from alumni and friends like you can help us lift up the next generation of honors scholars.

"Thank you again for the incredible honor of receiving the Dean's Prize! I am excited to share that I am now a PhD student within the Department of Biological Sciences at UNC Charlotte. The monetary award helped cover the costs of applying to graduate school. Beyond financial support, this recognition strengthened my confidence and deepened my passion for pursuing a career in research. I am truly grateful for the contribution this award has made to my academic journey."

"Receiving the HIPs Scholarship was a great honor, and I am very thankful for it! It has been a great motivation for me to continue working hard and staying involved with my campus. Not only did it validate the hard work I have put in, but it also allowed me to focus solely on my academics and research work through the generous monetary amount. Since receiving this award, I have been able to continue my research on the impact of the arts in Charlotte, including being able to present my work at my high school's research symposium as the keynote speaker."

"My study abroad experience in Italy through the Italian Art and Culture in Venice program was nothing short of incredible. Thanks to the generous funding I received, I was able to immerse myself in the rich history and artistic beauty of Italy. From exploring the stunning mosaics at Fornace Orsoni to standing in awe of masterpieces at the Palazzo Chiericati Museum, every moment deepened my appreciation for art and culture in ways that a classroom never could.
This experience broadened my perspective, allowing me to connect with history, architecture, and artistic traditions firsthand. It was truly life-changing, and I am so grateful for the support that made it possible. I hope that more students can have this same opportunity through future funding."
