Up for the Challenge? 

Make a bigger impact by taking advantage of the following challenges!

  • IT TAKES A NATION: If 1,949 proud alumni make a gift in 49 hours, the Alumni Association will contribute $1,949 to support scholarships for Niner students in need.
  • Show us your Niner support, Alumni Board of Directors! If every member of ABOD makes a gift to any fund most meaningful to them during Niner Nation Gives, a $2,500 reward for the Alumni Association Scholarship for Social Justice will unlock!
  • Leaderboard Challenge! The TOP 3 boards or networks with the most NNG support through their ambassador links will unlock support for their funds: $2,500 for 1st place, $1,500 for 2nd place, and $1,000 for 3rd place. *You must be registered as a 2024 Ambassador for your gifts to count toward this challenge!
  • Calling All GOLD Alumni!  If 490 alumni from the classes of 2014-2024 support any fund most meaningful to them during Niner Nation Gives, a reward of $1,000 will unlock for the Alumni Association Scholarship for Social Justice! 
  • Make a Difference with the Latinx/a/o Alumni Network! The Alumni Association is matching gifts dollar for dollar to the Alumni Association Scholarship for Social Justice, up to $1,000. 
  • Continue the 49er Legacy! The Alumni Association is matching gifts dollar for dollar to the 49er Legacy Scholarship, up to $1,000.
  • Calling All Niners of the Black Alumni Chapter! The Alumni Association is matching gifts dollar for dollar to the BAC Alumni Scholarship, up to $2,500.

49er Alumni Campus Employee (ACE) Scholarship Fund supports dedicated student workers on campus. 

49er Legacy Family Scholarship Fund was created to honor and provide assistance to those carrying on the 49er family tradition.

Alumni Association Scholarship for Social Justice provides annual support to students with a record of service or social action in their communities.

The Alumni Book Scholarship Fund was created by UNC Charlotte alumni to help alleviate the cost of textbooks for students who need them most. 

Bank of America UNC Charlotte Alumni Scholarship Fund was established by the Bank of America Alumni Network to support a full-time undergraduate student. 

Black Alumni Chapter Scholarship is a needs-based scholarship that expands support for future 49ers.
