Latinx/a/o Alumni Network

The mission of the UNC Charlotte Latinx/a/o Alumni Network is to facilitate and build an extensive community of Latinx/a/o alumni that will further education, and cultivate relationships with students, alumni, and the city of Charlotte. The Latinx/a/o Alumni Network will accomplish these goals through providing opportunities for professional development, social engagement, life-long learning, community service, and supporting university athletics.

Up for the Challenge? 

  • Calling all Niners of the Latinx/a/o Alumni Network! The Alumni Association is matching gifts dollar for dollar to the Charlotte Alumni Association Scholarship for Social Justice, up to $1,000. Double your impact now! 
  • Hey NNG Ambassadors! The alumni association is challenging you to generate the most gifts from your board or network using your ambassador link. The TOP 3 boards or networks with the most NNG support will unlock prizes for their funds: $2,500 for 1st place, $1,500 for 2nd place, and $1,000 for 3rd place. Share with a fellow Niner now! 

Yvette Huet Sí Se Puede Scholarship

The Latinx/a/o Alumni Network proudly announces the Yvette Huet Sí Se Puede Scholarship, established by the Latinx Faculty and Staff Caucus, as their chosen cause for Niner Nation Gives. 

The Sí Se Puede Scholarship is awarded to junior and senior undergraduates who demonstrate a commitment to the growth, support, and empowerment of Latinx communities. 

Meet Yuliana Ganan, the 2022-2023 recipient of the Sí Se Puede Scholarship.

Yuliana is a public health major with a minor in Spanish as well as a first-generation college student. She plans to continue her time at UNC Charlotte by pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology. 


“This scholarship will help me afford my last year at UNC Charlotte, allowing me to focus on excelling in academics and giving back to my community,” Ganan said in a letter to the scholarship committee. “I am fully independent when it comes to covering the cost of university, and I’m proud to say I am on track to graduate debt-free.”
