Cato College of Education Fund
The Cato College of Education Fund provides resources necessary to support the mission and vision of college. This fund ensures Education students have access to a degree in education, that they learn from the best faculty, and that they have the hands-on experiences that truly prepares them for the classrooms, schools, and communities of today and the future.
Niner University Elementary (NUE) is a public school created and led by education experts at UNC Charlotte. The school helps young students discover the joy of learning, and foster the growth of empathy and responsibility through knowledge. NUE is located in west Charlotte in the Reid Park neighborhood, and supports students from high needs, lower-performing schools. Help us provide quality instruction, facilities and student experience to our young learners.
The Cato Teaching Discovery Mural is located at the Cato College of Education at UNC Charlotte in honor of teachers, counselors, and school leaders everywhere. Contributions of any amount help maintain and improve the mural and support the Cato College of Education's mission to prepare highly effective and ethical professionals whose work positively impacts the people and organizations they serve. The mural is designed to be a destination for classrooms and general public visitors, and provides an innovative, unique teaching tool for students of all ages.
The Charlotte Teaching Fellows Program recruits and supports future Special Education and STEM teachers to serve as top quality educators upon graduation. Your support for the Teaching Fellows Fund provides teacher education candidates with opportunities for diverse, cultural, travel, and experiential experiences beyond the college classroom and their clinical placements. Established through a generous gift, the fund helps grow the next generation of teachers.
