The Harper-Thomas Legacy Endowment for Study Abroad provides this type of experience to first-generation college students from underrepresented populations.
The Mount Zion archaeological dig in Jerusalem has at its heart an accredited two-week summer study-abroad program consisting of archaeological fieldwork, lectures and specially guided tours of the area. Community members also participate, and future plans call for expanding excavations, publishing the findings, and transforming the area into an archaeological park.
Your support also helps us provide educational experiences for students and the broader community at the UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens, which for 50 years has been a living classroom for students and a horticultural and botanical asset.
Support for graduate students, through the College General Fund, helps fund their research and cover educational expenses. We compete with other research universities that often offer full funding to attract outstanding, intellectually curious graduate students.
The Faculty Development Fund is a means by which UNC Charlotte facilitates continued professional development among its faculty. It provides institutional encouragement and support to the faculty in their efforts to increase knowledge through instructional, research, and service activities that are valued by the University.
