Questions and Answers

Below you will find answers to many common questions about #GivingTuesday FY 23.

What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTueday is a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. UNC Charlotte has chosen to participate this year by highlighting the needs of the Jamil Niner Food Pantry on campus and Niner University Elementary. The Student Pantry ensures that no person in the Niner community goes hungry and that every student has access to nutritious food.

How can I spread the word?

There is no wrong way to share this year's Giving Tuesday campaign with fellow students, alumni, friends and family. Simply post, share or comment on your favorite social media platforms using #FeedANiner and #UNCCharlotte.

You should also follow @jamil_student_pantry and UNC Charlotte on Facebook, or Instagram for the latest updates on the #GivingTuesday campaign.

Can I send a gift by mail or phone?

Since #GivingTuesday is a short campaign, we encourage you to make your gift online. However, you can call (704) 687-7211 and make a gift over the phone. Making a gift by mail would still be a great way to support UNC Charlotte, but may not be counted in #GivingTuesday totals until after the campaign ends.

Can my employer match my gift?
