What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving where people come together to make a difference. At UNC Charlotte, it’s our chance to support students through the Student Emergency Fund and the Jamil Niner Student Pantry - helping Niners get the food and resources they need to stay focused on school and their future.
How can I spread the word?
There is no wrong way to share this year's Giving Tuesday campaign with fellow students, alumni, friends and family. Simply post, share or comment on your favorite social media platforms, directing people to givingtuesday.charlotte.edu and using #GivingTuesdayCLT
Be sure to tag The Jamil Niner Student Pantry on Facebook or Instagram.
Also tag UNC Charlotte's Student Assistance and Support Services on Facebook or Instagram.
Can I send a gift by mail or phone?
Since Giving Tuesday is a short campaign, we encourage you to make your gift online. However, you can call (704)687-7211 and make a gift over the phone. Making a gift by mail would still be a great way to support UNC Charlotte, but may not be counted in Giving Tuesday totals until after the campaign ends.
To mail a gift, please write "Giving Tuesday" and the fund (pantry and/or emergency) in the memo line of your check and send that to:

Can my employer match my gift?
Yes! To see if your employer has a matching gift program, click here. If your company matches, complete your matching gift form and submit it to UNC Charlotte via mail (UNC Charlotte Foundation, 9201 University City Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28223), fax (704-687-7259) or email (mwinslow@charlotte.edu). You may also choose to visit your company's website to submit your form online. Contact your Human Resources Department for more information.
Is my payment secure?
Absolutely. UNC Charlotte utilizes a validated Level 1 Service Provider called Braintree that is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). The payment application utilizes the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol and tokenization to encrypt your credit card information and securely process your donation.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card is charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the site.
Will my donation be tax-deductible?
Contributions to UNC Charlotte and are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Will I receive a receipt for my contribution?
Yes, you will receive an electronic receipt for your contribution shortly after you make your gift.
Is there a minimum gift amount?
Gifts of $5 or more are accepted.
